
Founded Regional Centre Of Expertise On Education For Sustainable Development In Vojvodina
The Regional Centre of Expertise on Education for Sustainable Development in Vojvodina (RCE Vojvodina), as an innovative global network which currently brings together 28 partner institutions from all sectors of society, commenced activities and got accredited by the United Nations University in early September this year.
With regard to that, the University Business Academy in Novi Sad, being the initiator of the founding of RCE Vojvodina, has been recognized an appointed as the Executive Secretary of the network. As a leading higher education institution on the territory of the Autonomous Province of Vojvodina, with fully established capacities for the development of research, educational and development programs of the highest quality, the University Business Academy will provide institutional sustainability to the newly formed regional center.
RCE Vojvodina represents a unique organizational network based on a four-fold model of cooperation between the public, civic, business and academic sectors. The aim of this model is to help business leaders, public organizations and academic institutions, as well as civil society organizations and citizens in building a more sustainable society by increasing its capacities for successful implementation of the most modern development solutions, concepts, technology and services.
The mission of RCE Vojvodina is focused on improving research, science, educational, economic, and social development models and strategies, in environment-friendly ways, which protect or even improve the environment. The main goal at this point is to create the necessary tools for efficient and effective cooperation among representatives of the academic, business, public and civil sector, and activate the synergy potential for the improvement of the position of Vojvodina in the Republic of Serbia and in the region.
