On October 20^th 2016, in the Study Hall of the Faculty of Law for Commerce and Judiciary, the University Business Academy in Novi Sad hosted a presentation and promotion of the monograph entitled “MILK POWDER AND OTHER RELATED PRODUCTS“, written by Prof. Marijana Carić Ph.D. and Prof. Spasenija Milanović Ph.D.

All the attendees were first greeted by Prof. Branka Pilić Ph.D., the Vice-Dean for Science at the Faculty of Technology, University of Novi Sad. Dr. Pilić emphasized the fact that it was her honor to address the audience on behalf of the publisher of this monograph, namely, the Faculty of Technology in Novi Sad. Dr. Pilić continued by explaining that the authors are two eminent professors with serious and long-standing academic careers, which logically resulted in the publication of a monograph, written in such way that it can be easily understood by students and used as a valuable textbook and learning resource during studies.

Prof. Dragan Soleša Ph.D., as the Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Engineering Management, also addressed the audience. Prof. Soleša stressed the importance of this monograph for the master and doctoral level students, particularly in the study programs of Engineering Management in Agribusiness and Ecology. He pointed out that this work can serve as a great example of how to write high-quality scientific publications, both in terms of content and methodology. Furthermore, prof. Soleša emphasized that this book is based on the results of a number of research projects and scientific papers published in international journals. He concluded by congratulating the authors once again and saying that the Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development of the Republic of Serbia co-financed the publication of this monograph, which is yet another proof of the value and importance of this major scientific contribution.

One of the reviewers of the monograph, Prof. Ljerka Gregurek Ph.D., started her speech with the statement that all top experts dedicate their professional and private lives entirely to their achievements, thereby leaving a profound mark on their colleagues and students, just as the authors of this monograph have done. Prof. Gregurek also pointed out that she believes this monograph will be very useful to students at all study levels and will contribute to a better understanding of innovations in dairy technology.

Prof. Zlatan Sarić Ph.D., a professor at the Faculty of Agriculture and Food Sciences in Sarajevo, who was also one of the reviewers, emphasized that the monograph “Milk Powder and Other Related Products“ is a valuable piece of work by two renowned experts in the field, and that their work represents a major contribution to science. ’It is an original work and the result of extensive scientific research, intended for students at all levels of study, as well as professionals’- continued professor Sarić and expressed his deepest admiration for the said monograph, as well as the entire professional work of the two authors.

Lastly, one of the authors, Prof. Marijana Carić Ph.D., expressed special gratitude to the reviewers of the monograph, namely- Prof. Ljerka Gregurek, Prof. Zlatan Saric and Prof. Zdenko Puhan, a professor at the Institute of Food Sciences at ETH Zurich, who was unable to attend the ceremony. Prof. Marijana Carić also expressed special gratitude to the Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development of the Republic of Serbia for the financial support in publishing the monograph. The other author, Prof. Spasenija Milanović Ph.D., spoke beautifully about the wonderful cooperation and long-time friendship with her dear colleague, prof. Marijana Carić, which resulted in such a great achievement.

After the presentation and promotion of the monograph, all guests were invited to a cocktail party in honor of this special event for our University.
