Signed Cooperation Agreement Between Our University And The Provincial Ombudsman
On Wednesday, 1st February 2017, The Faculty of Law for Commerce and Judiciary, University Business Academy in Novi Sad, signed a cooperation agreement with the Provincial Ombudsman. The said agreement is supposed to define and regulate cooperation in all areas of scientific, research and educational activities that are perceived as beneficial and complementary from the standpoint of both institutions.
The cooperation will primarily develop within the framework of transferring knowledge and expertise i.e. professional and academic experience through joint scientific and research projects in the following areas: human rights, organization of scientific and academic gatherings, educational and promotional activities, publishing activities and organized internships for students of the Faculty of Law for Commerce and Judiciary. All educational and promotional activities will be targeted at experts as well as the wider public.
According to the signatories of the Agreement, the Provincial Ombudsman - Prof. Zoran Pavlović Ph.D. and Prof. Marko Carić Ph.D, Dean of the Faculty of Law for Commerce and Judiciary, the cooperation between these two institutions should contribute to the improvement of students' knowledge primarily in the field of human rights. In addition to that, it is expected that this cooperation will also present to the general public the purpose of existence, manner of operation and experience in the work of the Provincial Ombudsman (just as all other protectors of citizens) in the wider context of institutional mechanisms for the realization, protection and promotion of human rights.
The signing of this Agreement with the Provincial Ombudsman represents yet another step aimed at expanding cooperation between the Faculty of Law for Commerce and Judiciary and the public sector in order to improve the educational process.
