
Statehood Day reception hosted by the President of the Republic of Serbia
On 15th February 2017, Rector of the University Business Academy in Novi Sad, Prof. Mirko Kulić Ph.D. and Dean of the Faculty of Law in Novi Sad, Prof. Marko Carić Ph.D., attended the Statehood Day reception hosted by the President of the Republic of Serbia, HE Mr. Tomislav Nikolic, at the Presidential Palace (Novi Dvor/New Palace) in Belgrade.
The reception was attended by numerous guests from the cultural, political and public life of our country, representatives of the diplomatic corps and religious communities, as well as guests from abroad. Among the distinguished guests there were: H.E. Alexander Chepurin, Ambassador of the Russian Federation to the Republic of Serbia, Kyle Scott, a U.S. diplomat in the Senior Foreign Service and the current U.S. Ambassador to Serbia, HRH Crown Prince Alexander and HRH Crown Princess Katherine Karadjordjević, HRH Princess Elizabeth Karadjordjević and Michael Davenport, Head of the EU Delegation in Serbia.
On the occasion of Statehood Day, President Nikolić awarded medals to 84 distinguished individuals and institutions for outstanding achievements in the fields of economics, science, culture and sports.
