
International Scientific Conference “Inovaeducation 2017” Held At FIMEK
The Faculty of Economics and Engineering Management organized an international scientific conference “INOVAEDUCATION 2017”, dedicated to innovation, ICT and education for the new generation. The conference was held from 26-27 May 2017 at the Faculty of Economics and Engineering Management.
The conference was given the name “INOVAEDUCATION 2017” because of its interdisciplinary nature and main aim which was to enable the transfer of knowledge among researchers from around the world, with a particular focus on the European countries. The idea was to exchange the latest research results and innovations in business, as well as the current trends, achievements, and future perspectives.
The conference was opened by Prof. Dragan Soleša Ph.D., Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Engineering Management, who said that the high turnout for the conference “INOVAEDUCATION 2017” is a pleasant surprise, with the participation of seven countries and over 70 participants with 40 submitted and carefully selected papers. Prof. Dragan Soleša stressed that the Faculty of Economics and Engineering Management maintains a high level of scientific and research work, which is yet another confirmation of the received accreditation for science in two areas: social-humanistic and technical-technological.
After the Dean’s speech, the audience was addressed by Prof. Marko Carić Ph.D., President of the Council of the Faculty of Economics and Engineering Management, who said that the internationalization, international cooperation and networking of scientists in this way are the essential components of development and improvement, not only for the Faculty, but science in general.
The Provincial Secretary for higher education and scientific research, Prof. Zoran Milošević Ph.D. said that it is very important for the Secretariat to recognize the significance of invitations like this one, coming from an accredited higher education institution, which sets a great example through the internationalization of this conference and thus shows the importance of cooperation at all levels.
Mr. Aleksandar Petrović, Assistant to the Mayor of Novi Sad, said that the city authorities will always support events of this kind, open to all people but especially to those who innovate and bring new ideas.
The opening ceremony was followed by plenary sessions and the conference continued with the following thematic sections: Innovations in Business - Achievements and Perspectives, The Implementation of ICT in Economic Development and The European Education System - Is It Possible to Keep Pace With the Constant Changes?
The Program Committee consisted of 13 foreign teachers from 6 countries, while the conference was attended by 17 foreign authors and co-authors from Croatia, Slovenia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Hungary, Spain and India, which all contributed to the international nature of the event.
The conference “INOVAEDUCATION 2017” was organized under the auspices of the Provincial Secretariat for Higher Education and Scientific Research and organized by the Faculty of Economics and Engineering Management in Novi Sad, while the co-organizers were: University North from Koprivnica, Croatia; The Faculty of Philosophy, Banja Luka, Republic of Srpska - Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Center for the Development and Application of Science, Technology and Informatics, Novi Sad, Serbia.
