Environmental problems, such as 25 tons of waste found near Obrenovac this year, which is thought to be dangerous and carcinogenic, have been resolved by fast, efficient and successful actions of the Ministry of Environmental Protection, headed by Minister Goran Trivan. An important step in solving the mentioned problem were thorough inspection checks of all companies engaged in the disposal of hazardous waste as well as the prohibition of work for all companies with questionable practices. "Any crime committed against the environment must be condemned with zero tolerance for irresponsible behavior" - said Minister Trivan.
At the celebration of World Environment Day, special “thank-you-awards“ were given to institutions, companies and individuals who have contributed with their outstanding work and commitment to environmental protection.
