
INTERNATIONAL SUMMER SCHOOL OF THE UNIVERSITY BUSINESS ACADEMY
The University Business Academy in Novi Sad organized the 2024 International Summer School from June 21 to July 21, 2024, on the topic of "Digital Entrepreneurship." The summer school was attended by students from I-Shou University in Taiwan.
At the beginning of the international summer school, the students were ceremoniously welcomed by Prof. Dr. Zoran Pavlović, Vice Rector for International Cooperation at the University Business Academy, who expressed great satisfaction that the students from I-Shou University in Taiwan chose to participate in the summer school organized by the University. The ceremonial reception was also attended by Prof. Dr. Jelena Vapa Tankosić, Vice Dean for Industry Cooperation at the Faculty of Economics and Engineering Management and organizer of the international summer school, and Tamara Krstić, Marketing Director of the University.
During the summer school, students had organized internships at the Guarantee Fund of the Autonomous Province of Vojvodina and the company “SmartCat”. The University also organized numerous extracurricular activities for them. In addition to touring Novi Sad, the students visited the Petrovaradin Fortress, the underground tunnels of the fortress, and the Novi Sad Museum, where they had the opportunity to learn about the history and culture of Novi Sad. They also visited one of the many monasteries of Fruška Gora and Sremski Karlovci, while at the Celtic Village in Inđija, they had the chance to try archery. Alongside their mentors, Maja and Petar, who were student guides, the participants of the summer school explored Belgrade and Subotica, experienced the nightlife of Novi Sad, and attended the largest music festival in the region, "Exit."
The participants of the summer school also attended the University Business Academy’s Patron Saint’s Day celebration. On that occasion Prof. Dr. Marko Carić, Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Engineering Management, and Prof. Dr. Marijana Carić, President of the University Business Academy Council, awarded certificates to the participants for successfully completing the summer school.
