In September 2024, the University Business Academy in Novi Sad was awarded a new Jean Monnet module titled “Application of EU Values and Digital Transformation: Serbian Perspective” (EUDIGVAL). This three-year project is part of the European Union’s Erasmus+ program and includes educational and research activities focused on respecting EU values in specific areas of digital transformation. The project team consists of Prof. Dr. Marijana Mladenov, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Milena Galetin, and Prof. Dr. Vladimir Medović (project leader).

EUDIGVAL encompasses the following activities:

• Organizing six specialist courses annually for undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral students;
• Hosting three student debates;
• Conducting seminars for young legal professionals (judicial trainees, trainee lawyers, trainees in prosecutorial offices, trainees at the Provincial Ombudsman’s Office, etc.);
• Conducting seminars for media professionals;
• Publishing one textbook;
• Publishing one academic monograph;
• Publishing one research article;
• Creating a website to disseminate the results of project activities;
• Organizing a roundtable to present the project’s results.

According to the project team members, EUDIGVAL aims to promote and enhance the understanding of European Union values in the context of digital transformation, contributing to Serbia’s EU accession process. Building on the outcomes of previous activities, this module continues the legacy of the Jean Monnet modules “Serbia's Accession to the European Union” and “Application of EU Values in the Policies of Candidate States”. The ongoing commitment of the project team members to various Jean Monnet modules underscores their dedication to promoting high standards in teaching and research within European Union studies. It also reflects the successful implementation of the internationalization process at the University Business Academy in Novi Sad.
