
H.E. MR. ANDREAS FOTIU, AMBASSADOR OF THE REPUBLIC OF CYPRUS TO SERBIA, VISITS THE UNIVERSITY BUSINESS ACADEMY
His Excellency Mr. Andreas Fotiu, Ambassador of the Republic of Cyprus to Serbia, visited the University Business Academy in Novi Sad on Friday, November 29, 2024. He was ceremoniously welcomed by Emeritus Prof. Dr. Marijana Carić, President of the University Council, Prof. Dr. Milan Počuča, Dean of the Faculty of Law for Commerce and Judiciary, Prof. Dr. Predrag Mirković, President of the Council of the Faculty of Law for Commerce and Judiciary, Prof. Dr. Marijana Mladenov, Vice Dean for International Cooperation, Prof. Dr. Maja Petrović, Vice Dean for Quality and Development, and Tamara Krstić, Marketing Director of the University Business Academy.
Following the reception, a moment of silence was observed in the amphitheater of the Faculty of Law for Commerce and Judiciary in honor of the victims of the tragic incident at the Novi Sad Railway Station on November 1, 2024.
Afterwards, Prof. Dr. Milan Počuča welcomed the attendees and, as an introduction to the lecture, presented the key features of the Republic of Cyprus.
His Excellency Mr. Andreas Fotiu delivered a lecture on the topic: "Bilateral Relations: Strengthening Ties Between Cyprus and Serbia." Among other remarks, he noted that when relations between the two countries began in the 1960s, both were striving to secure their positions on the international stage. Today, he emphasized, the bond between Cyprus and Serbia is stronger than ever.
The lecture saw active participation from students, who asked questions that the Ambassador gladly addressed.
