MEETING OF THE WORKING GROUP FOR AMENDMENTS TO GEORGIA'S LAW ON HIGHER EDUCATION HELD WITHIN THE DUGEOR PROJECT
One of the key aspects of the project “Strengthening Capacities for the Implementation of Dual Education in the Higher Education System of Georgia – DUGEOR” is the establishment of an appropriate legal framework in Georgia to introduce dual study programs into the higher education system. In this regard, a meeting of the project consortium's working group for amending Georgia's Law on Higher Education was held at the Georgian Institute of Public Affairs from November 14 to 15, 2024.
During the meeting, particular attention was given to the report by the Georgian Ministry of Education, Science, and Youth regarding proposed amendments to the Law on Higher Education, as well as an analysis of accreditation standards presented by the National Center for Educational Quality Enhancement of Georgia.
The DUGEOR working group for legal amendments is coordinated by the project team of the University Business Academy in Novi Sad, with the meeting chaired by Prof. Dr. Marijana Mladenov, project manager of the UPANS team.
DUGEOR is a Category 3 Capacity-Building in Higher Education (CBHE) project aimed at supporting Georgia’s efforts as a third country not fully participating in the Erasmus program. The project seeks to address socio-economic needs through the implementation of dual education within the higher education system, fostering structural improvements and innovations in the sector.
