
FIRST MEETING HELD WITHIN THE DUALBA PROJECT
Project Manager, Assistant Professor Milena Galetin, PhD, and Vice-Dean for International Cooperation at the Faculty of Law for Commerce and Judiciary in Novi Sad, Professor Marijana Mladenov, PhD, participated in the inaugural meeting of the project “Strengthening Capacities for the Implementation of Dual Education in the Higher Education System of Albania – DUALBA”, which was held at the University of New York in Tirana on February 3–4, 2025.
The project is part of Category 3 Capacity Building in Higher Education (CBHE) initiatives, aimed at supporting Albania - as a third country not fully participating in the Erasmus Program - in addressing socio-economic needs and ensuring structural improvement and innovation in the higher education sector through the implementation of dual education.
The DUALBA project will be implemented from December 1, 2024, to November 30, 2028. The project consortium is coordinated by the University of Novi Sad and includes the following partners: FH Joanneum University of Applied Sciences, Mondragon University, University Business Academy in Novi Sad, University of New York in Tirana, “Ismail Qemali” University of Vlora, European University of Tirana, “Aleksandër Moisiu” University of Durrës, Tirana Business University, the Ministry of Education and Sports of Albania, the Albanian Quality Assurance Agency in Higher Education, the Vocational College of Tirana, BALFIN Group (Balkan Finance Investment Group), Regional Directorate for Cultural Heritage of Vlora, Halimi Foundation Institute, the law firm “Kalo & Associates,” the company “Omega AL,” and “ERLED” Durrës, LLC.
During the two-day meeting in Tirana, participants discussed institutional, strategic, and societal aspects of the DUALBA project’s implementation, as well as their respective responsibilities within the project. The project team from the University Business Academy in Novi Sad includes Assistant Professor Milena Galetin, PhD (Project Manager), Professor Vladimir Medović, PhD, Professor Marijana Mladenov, PhD, and Tamara Staparski, MSc in Criminology.
