MEETING WITH THE DEPUTY MINISTER OF EDUCATION, SCIENCE AND YOUTH OF GEORGIA
On June 3, 2025, Professor Marijana Mladenov, Vice-Dean for International Cooperation at the Faculty of Law for Commerce and Judiciary in Novi Sad, met with Dr. Tamar Gvamichava, Deputy Minister of Education, Science and Youth of Georgia, along with members of the working group responsible for drafting amendments to Georgia’s Law on Higher Education. During the meeting, Professor Mladenov presented the DUGEOR project, followed by a discussion on proposed legislative provisions. The central topic of the meeting was the implementation of a dual education model within Georgia’s higher education system.
The meeting was also attended by representatives of Georgia’s National Center for Educational Quality Enhancement, who presented the current accreditation standards relevant to dual study programs. This meeting was held within the framework of the DUGEOR Capacity Building in Higher Education (CBHE) project, which aims to introduce and integrate dual education into Georgia’s higher education sector.
