STRENGTHENING INTERNATIONAL COOPERATION: ERASMUS+ MOBILITY IMPLEMENTED AT BATUMI NAVIGATION UNIVERSITY, GEORGIA
From May 18 to 23, 2026, representatives of the Faculty of Law for Commerce and Judiciary in Novi Sad and the University Business Academy in Novi Sad, Prof. Marijana Mladenov, PhD, Vice-Rector and Vice-Dean for International Cooperation, and Prof. Milena Galetin, PhD, Head of the International Relations Office, participated in an Erasmus+ mobility program at Batumi Navigation University (BNU) in Georgia.
During the mobility period, a series of working meetings were held with the management and staff of the International Relations Office of the partner institution. Discussions took place with Ms. Lali Khvedelidze, Chancellor of Administration at BNU, and Prof. George Gabedava, PhD, Head of the International Relations Office.
The central focus of the meetings was the evaluation of the results achieved through previous joint activities in the field of international cooperation, as well as the identification of opportunities for improving administrative procedures related to the management of incoming and outgoing mobility programs. Particular attention was also devoted to expanding academic exchange opportunities for students, academic staff, and administrative personnel, as well as to launching joint research initiatives and organizing international scientific conferences.
A significant part of the program was dedicated to gaining detailed insight into the organizational structure and operational procedures of BNU’s International Relations Office, with the aim of harmonizing institutional protocols and strengthening administrative capacities for the implementation of international projects. This direct exchange of expertise and best practices was recognized as a particularly valuable contribution to the development of sustainable long-term cooperation mechanisms between the two institutions.
The visit resulted in the identification of concrete steps for the further development of the partnership and reaffirmed both institutions’ commitment to active participation in forthcoming Erasmus+ calls and other forms of international academic cooperation.
