University Business Academy in Novi Sad is the first university from the region to become a member of the international university network called “The Compostela Group of Universities”. At the last assembly meeting of this association, the candidature of the University was presented by Ass. Professor Marijana Mladenov Ph.D., Vice-Dean for International Cooperation at the Faculty of Law in Novi Sad.

In her presentation, Dr. Marijana Mladenov pointed out that the establishment and development of academic cooperation between University Business Academy from Novi Sad and a large number of foreign educational institutions has been the result of continuous work and efforts aimed at the development of international cooperation, as well as the focal point of work at this institution. After the presentation and a “question and answer” session, the assembly of the “Compostela” Association unanimously made a decision to grant admission and right of membership to the University Business Academy from Novi Sad, Serbia.

The Compostela Group of Universities, or Compostela University Network, was established in 1993 and consists of more than 70 universities from European, Asian and American countries. This association plays a significant role in shaping the future of global higher education and its main pillars, based on the knowledge of the subject area and the diversity of its members. The main activities that take place under the auspices of the Compostela Association relate to the realization of various scientific projects, as well as mobility programs for students, teaching and non-teaching staff. STELLA Junior and STELLA Staff Mobility are two very successful mobility programs that are realized through the cooperation of Compostela network members. The STELLA Junior program offers the possibility for students to spend one part of their study program or internship at one of the universities which are members of the Compostela Association, while the latter program, namely STELLA Staff Mobility program, includes various mobility schemes for teaching and non-teaching staff.

By fostering the culture of openness towards the rest of the world and through active membership in the international university network “Compostela”, the University Business Academy from Novi Sad will continue to develop its academic network with foreign universities.
