VISIT TO THE AMERICAN UNIVERSITY IN THE EMIRATES WITHIN THE ERASMUS+ PROGRAM
The Vice Dean for International Cooperation at the Faculty of Law for Commerce and Judiciary in Novi Sad and Head of the Office for International Cooperation at the University Business Academy in Novi Sad, Prof. Marijana Mladenov PhD, carried out a visit to the American University in the Emirates (AUE) from April 7 to 11, 2025, as part of an Erasmus+ mobility project.
During the visit, meetings were held with the President of AUE, Prof. Muthanna Abul Razzaq PhD, members of the AUE management team, including Prof. William Cornwell PhD, Prof. Sameh Ghwanmeh PhD, Prof. Asma Salman PhD, Asst. Prof. Soulafa Al Khatib PhD, as well as the Dean of the College of Law, Prof. Tarek Abdel Salam PhD, and department heads at the College of Law, Prof. Ehab Alrousan PhD, Prof. Mahir Albana PhD, and Prof. Hatem Adela PhD.
The meetings focused on enhancing international cooperation, submitting joint project applications, and achieving a higher degree of internationalization for both institutions. Special attention was given to exploring opportunities for faculty participation in international conferences and the promotion of academic journals published by the faculties within the University Business Academy in Novi Sad.
During the visit, Prof. Marijana Mladenov introduced AUE faculty and students to the content and implementation of the international CBHE projects DUALBA and DUGEOR, as well as the findings of research in the field of digital human rights conducted within the Jean Monnet project EUDIGVAL.
The host of the visit on behalf of AUE was Prof. Amer Fakhoury PhD, with whom cooperation in the field of scientific research had previously been established during the EXPO 2020 World Exhibition in Dubai through representatives of the University Business Academy in Novi Sad, Prof. Marko Carić and Prof. Marijana Mladenov.
