FORUM: RECOMMENDATIONS TO HIGHER EDUCATION INSTITUTIONS IN GEORGIA ON THE IMPLEMENTATION OF DUAL HIGHER EDUCATION
A forum entitled “Recommendations to Higher Education Institutions in Georgia on the Implementation of Dual Higher Education” was held on 14 and 15 January 2026 at the Georgian Institute of Public Affairs in Tbilisi. Organized within the framework of the Erasmus+ project DUGEOR, the event brought together approximately 60 participants from academia, public institutions, and the business sector.
During the two-day program, a document outlining proposed amendments to the Law on Higher Education and the Labor Law was presented, with particular reference to the new accreditation standards validated in cooperation with the Georgian National Center for Educational Quality Enhancement (NCEQE). As leaders of the work package responsible for developing the legal and strategic framework (WP4), representatives of the University Business Academy in Novi Sad — Prof. Marijana Mladenov, Ph.D., Vice-Rector for International Cooperation, and Prof. Vladimir Medović, Ph.D. — played a key role in defining future legislative solutions, which should ensure a sustainable future for dual higher education in Georgia.
