CONFERENCE ON THE FUTURE OF THE ERASMUS+ PROGRAMME HELD IN BRUSSELS
The Vice-Rector for International Cooperation of the University Business Academy in Novi Sad, Prof. Marijana Mladenov, Ph.D., participated on 27 January 2026 in the international conference entitled “The Future is Erasmus: A Higher Education Stakeholder Dialogue”, held in Brussels. The conference was organized by the Erasmus Student Network (ESN) with the aim of examining the future directions of the Erasmus+ program and its role in shaping the European academic landscape.
Through a series of panel discussions and interactive sessions, the conference facilitated a meaningful dialogue on skills development, inclusiveness, funding models, and the international dimension of the program. Participants agreed on the vision that modern economies are built on skills, while societies are founded on values — and that Erasmus+ is the program that most effectively brings these two components together. Particular emphasis was placed on the need for strong cooperation across the entire academic community to ensure that the program remains relevant, inclusive, and prepared for future challenges in the years ahead.
Participation in this conference by Prof. Marijana Mladenov, Ph.D., represents a continuation of the active international engagement of the University Business Academy in Novi Sad. The event provided a unique platform for connecting diverse perspectives and exchanging experiences that will contribute to the further enhancement of mobility and international cooperation at our University. It was concluded that the unified voice of higher education institutions is of crucial importance in shaping a future in which Erasmus+ remains a cornerstone of the European education system.
